What types of fishing charters do you offer in Guanacaste?

We offer a variety of fishing charters to suit all preferences and experience levels: Half-Day Charters, 4 hour, and 3/4 day, 6 hour, charters: Perfect for inshore fishing targeting species like Roosterfish and Snapper.  Full-Day 8 hour Charters: Ideal for offshore adventures, where you can reel in Marlin, Sailfish, and Tuna. Custom Trips: Tailored experiences for families, professionals, or large groups.

What are the best months for fishing in Costa Rica?

Costa Rica is a year-round fishery, but certain species peak during specific months:

  • Marlin: November to March

  • Sailfish: May to August

  • Yellowfin Tuna: May to September

  • Dorado (Mahi Mahi): March through November

  • Roosterfish & Snapper: Strong action nearly year-round
    No matter when you visit, there’s always something incredible biting in Guanacaste waters.

How far in advance should I book my fishing charter?

To secure your preferred date and boat, we recommend booking  at least 4–6 weeks in advance, especially during high season (December–April and June–August). Last-minute trips may be available but are subject to availability.

What should I bring on my fishing trip?

We provide everything you need to fish, but we suggest you bring:

  • Lightweight clothing and non-slip footwear

  • Hat, polarized sunglasses, and reef-safe sunscreen

  • Motion sickness medication (if prone)

  • Personal items like cameras or towels

  • A sense of adventure!
    Drinks and snacks are included on most trips—ask for details when booking

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

We understand plans can change. Here’s how cancellations work:

  • Cancellations made 7+ days before your trip: Full refund

  • Cancellations within 7 days: Non-refundable, unless due to weather

  • Weather-related cancellations: Full refund or rescheduling at your convenience
    Our goal is to be flexible, fair, and transparent.

Do you offer private or group charters?

Yes! We specialize in private charters for a personalized experience, but shared/group trips may also be available upon request. Private charters are ideal for families, serious anglers, or anyone seeking a custom adventure on their terms.

Can beginners join your trips, or is this for experienced anglers only?

Absolutely! Our charters are perfect for all experience levels. Whether it’s your first time with a rod or your hundredth offshore run, our captains and crew will guide you, teach you, and ensure you have a memorable time on the water.

Do you provide fishing gear and bait?

Yes—all our charters include top-of-the-line rods, reels, tackle, and bait suited to the species you’re targeting. We use the best gear to ensure your best chance at a successful and exciting day of fishing.

Will the crew clean and prepare the fish I catch?

Yes, your crew will clean, fillet, and bag your catch for you. Many local restaurants are also happy to cook your fresh catch—just ask us for recommendations!

What safety measures do you have on board?

Every vessel in our fleet is licensed, insured, and equipped with certified safety gear, including:

  • Life jackets (for adults and children)

  • First aid kits

  • VHF radios and GPS navigation

  • Fire extinguishers and safety training
    Your safety is always our top priority.

  • Life Raft and floatation devices
  • Licensed, experienced Captains and crews
  • Up to date on all inspections and licensing
What happens in case of bad weather?

If conditions are unsafe or not conducive to a great experience, we’ll work with you to reschedule or offer a full refund. We monitor weather closely and will always prioritize your safety and satisfaction.  We will never, compromise safety of our clients or our crew.
